Response to the Changing Scenario

1983 The Institute started with Three programmes – Electronics Engineering, Production Engineering and Construction Engineering in Chhatrapati Shivaji College campus.
1987 Construction Engineering Programme converted to its core, Civil Engineering.
1987 Vacational course of M.E. Civil (Construction & Management) was started.
1989 The Institute shifted to the present premises .
1989 Growing demand for Electronics Engineers responded, Intake raised from 60 to 120 .
1997 Girls Hostel was constructed .
1997 Mechanical Engineering programme was started with an intake of 40.
1999 Intake of Electronics Engineering programme was reduced from 120 to 90 in lieu of Computer Engineering Programme with an intake 30.
2001 Intake capacity of Computer Engineering raised from 30 to 60 and Mechanical Engineering from 40 to 60.
2004 Total Engineering Graduates passed out from this Institute is 3,593 .
2006 Two new computer labs with advanced computing facilities have been developed in Computer Department
